Just in time for Valentine’s Day (and wedding-planning season), Meiko independently released today a new, waltz-inspired acoustic rendition of her hit song “Stuck On You”.

The original version of the track, from her 2012 sophomore LP, The Bright Side (Concord Music Group), reached #1 on the Japanese Airplay Chart, was featured in global ad campaigns for Crate & Barrel and Fancy Feast, and has garnered almost 10 million streams on Spotify.
“So many people tell me they’ve used the original version of ‘Stuck On You’ as the ‘first dance’ song at their wedding. It’s a bit fast, so I thought it’d be a fun idea to record a slower, acoustic version that’s easier to ‘slow dance’ to,” Meiko says of the new release. “While I was in the studio working on my new album, we recorded this new rendition. I think it came out really sweet and I hope it inspires some romantic wedding vibes!”
“Stuck On You (Acoustic Slow Dance)” follows up Meiko’s December 2018 release of her original holiday single, “Merry Christmas (Wherever You Are)”, which was featured in several high-profile playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, and was streamed over one million times in its first three weeks of release.
To celebrate the release of “Stuck On You (Acoustic Slow Dance)”, and to give a live preview of some songs to be featured on her upcoming, as-yet-untitled full-length due out in May, Meiko will perform two Southern California shows, February 17 at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, and February 20 at The Hotel Café in Hollywood.
