A&E Television Networks has licensed Kelly Sweet‘s remake of the Phil Collins classic “In The Air Tonight” for use in promos for the movie “Petals On The Wind”. The promos will run for six weeks beginning April 20 across all A&E Networks channels (Lifetime, A&E, BIO, The History Channel, etc.) and on the internet.
Kelly’s self-released cover of the track reached #5 on the iTunes U.S. Singer-Songwriter Singles chart, selling over 10,000 digital copies in the U.S. alone since January with virtually no promotion other than a commercial placement. Kelly is available for worldwide signing, licensing, and publishing.
Meiko has launched a PledgeMusic campaign, giving fans an opportunity to pre-order her as-yet-untitled new album and purchase new and exclusive merch items. Pledgers will also get a sneak-peek into Meiko’s recording process, gaining access to video, music and more before its commercial release. A portion of proceeds from the campaign will go to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Click HERE to go to her PledgeMusic page.
Meiko will also soon announce a handful of summertime live performances in cities including Seattle, Portland, and Honolulu. She plays a sold-out show at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood tonight (3/25) and the Safety Harbor Singer Songwriter Festival in Safety Harbor, FL on April 6.
Kelly Sweet has co-written and is the featured vocalist on “You And I”, a new track from buzzworthy EDM newcomers Punk P@rty being released through Armada Music on April 7 (Beatport) and April 21 (other digital music portals). Listen to “You And I” HERE.
Kelly’s recent digital self-release of “In The Air Tonight”, her remake of the Phil Collins classic, has sold over 10,000 copies in less than a month, recently reaching #5 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Singles chart in the U.S. with some help from a prime placement in an NBC TV promo.
