Alexa Melo

Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Alexa Melo has spent the past several years forging a unique path in the indie music scene. Born in Massachusetts and raised in Los Angeles, she first made waves in 2015 with the independent release of her self-titled debut album. Acclaimed by industry tastemakers and supported by major radio markets, Melo quickly built momentum with a series of standout West Coast performances. However, her rising career took an unexpected detour when emergency vocal cord surgery forced her into a year of vocal rest. Undeterred, she returned in 2016 by recording a series of striking cover songs, amassing over a million YouTube plays in less than a year.

Seeking new creative inspiration, Alexa relocated to San Francisco in 2017 and soon wrote and produced the MUTE EP, with the single "Hollow" receiving regular airplay on San Francisco’s ALT 105.3 (KITS-FM). Her recognition as one of the station’s Top 10 Bay Area Artists in both 2018 and 2019 cemented her status as a vital voice in the local music scene. She continued her prolific output with DEMOÏTIS in 2020 and her ambitious album RED NOISE in 2021, receiving critical praise for her bold sonic explorations.

After taking time in 2022 to focus on a burgeoning career in video production and editing, Alexa returned to music with her self-released collection In Limbo, which has garnered support from tastemaker radio outlet Live 105 San Francisco. Known for her fearless creativity and genre-defying sound, Melo remains a dynamic and evolving artist with much more to come.
